Break Down of RANGASTHALAM.
Rangasthalam is one of the movie which surprised and excited me through its content, direction, detailing and screenplay. I want to list out the points which made me to go awe for this movie.- Hero intro with Hint
There is no commercial hero introduction scene in Rangasthalam which we normally see in Telugu films . Instead director starts explaining the story and he had given hint to audience that hero wants to take revenge on villain but the villain escaped cause of accident .. hence the below expression from Hero --(tappinchukunnadu ra .....look)
2. Aadi's/KumarBabu's Characterization
According to me , kumar babu's character stands next to Chittibabu's character. Every one will love this character and feels emotional when he dies. The best part in suku's direction is , Kumarbabu's character will be introduced to us at rangasthalam bus stop. incidentally his death will happen at the same bus stop .
3. PRESIDENT CHARACTERIZATION:
Jagapathi babu is terrific as president aks phanindra bhupati, although sukumar told about the similarities between snake and his characterization in many interviews, I just want to add few more details about this character
*Name is phanindra bhupati ,which means king of snakes in telugu.
*Eyes will be yellowish representing snake's eyes.
* Even though snake is dangerous, people will worship them .Same way ,phanindra bhupati is also dangerous for rangasthalam, but still people will worship him.
*When ever jagapathibabu appears, there will be nagaswaram(snake music) playing in background.
* Snakes normally kills its own babies, similarly phanindra bhupati also kills his henchmen sheshunaidu ... Just to remind you that SHESHU also called as SNAKE in telugu.
* In the beginning of the movie hero will be searching for a snake , in the end he will kill phanindrabupati like the way people kills snake.
4. SUSPENSE IN DHAKSHINA MOORTHI'S CHARACTER(Prakash Raj) :
Some people might have guessed that prakash raj is the villian, I am sure they might have not guessed the reason for killing kumarbabu (because of his daughter /caste barrier/money wadever) ... To maintain suspense till the end ,sukumar didn't reveal that dakshinamurthy has 2 daughters .
But, he had given a hint in the first half itself that prakash raj has 2 daughters.

5. Authentic:
Rangasthalam is a fictional village, but artwork and people made it believable. there are so many instances i felt surprised with the level of detailing given by sukumar. I can tell you 1 instance
In rangasthalam , people shouldn't wear slippers and walk in front of president or president's house. There is a seperate scene to protray that.
But, even in normal scenes which makes unnoticed , sukumar maintained the same tempo ..
example : when kumar babu requests phanindra bupati to release his brother from jail , in the background of that scene people who are crossing presidents house ,they will remove slippers before they enter president's house region.
6. SOUND DESIGN
The best sound design which i saw in recent times. As hero has hearing problem , so the design made it sync with that. Audience can listen what chittibabu can listen . there are many instances to protray the beauty of sound.
Yes in rangastalam sound speaks story .
* Trackter sound appears when hero is looking for help , next scene hero will be on trackter
* we can hear "slashing a tree " sound , when hero couldnt able to hear .
7. FORTUNE PREDICTION
Shakespear has a habit in his story writing, a fortune teller will always warns protogonist's future tragedy or information to the hero . I love this way of information , because it makes the audience to prepare for what is coming next and also putting them in tensed situations.
Rangasthalam has similar scenario where a fortune teller warns about chitti babu's brother .
excellently portrayed.
8. EMOTION :
Not every film makes us to connect to the emotion. But my friend, ragasthalam is one film which makes us to connect to all the emotions . If hero laughs, we will also laugh, if hero cries we will also feels sad, if hero is angry , we will also angry .
I generally dont like listening cuss words in movie.But, in rangasthalam , just because of emotion , i didnt felt bad. it got mixed with right emotion.
9. NO WASTAGE OF CHARACTER
Specially in telugu films, we can see lot of actors who doenst have much characters in the movie.
But in rangasthalam, each and every character is important . every character will have a beginning and an end.
ex: people who had suffered coz of society , are the same people who will support kumar babu .
Also making rangammatha as president
making kasi as ward member etc
10. RAM CHARAN
The best film of ramcharan till date. He has given a super reply to his critcs and haters with his acting. Navarasalu pandichesadabba.. ... Chittibabu will be remembered for long time. and ramcharan owned this character nicely . Final expression in the climax haunted me for many days
All top performances, good story , music, screenplay , team effort and direction makes rangasthalam as a memorable movie.
